Unfortunately, these are some of the (unmentioned) reasons that some parents conceal when deciding to marry their children: • Our son is frivolous and we hope that he will learn his responsibilities once he gets married. • The mother is old and sick and we need a woman (daughter in-law) who will look after the […]

The Truth About The Life of This World

| July 19, 2013 | 20 Comments

Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this present life deceive you…. (Surah Luqman: 33)

What are the major milestone in our lives?

The first milestone that we come across is Schooling,

The second milestone is Graduation.

The third milestone is a Career.

The fourth milestone is getting married.

The fifth milestone is having children and a family.

The sixth milestone is repeating the above cycle from the first to the fifth milestone for our children.

By the time we complete these major milestones, we get old and then we ponder how we spent our lives and what exactly did we achieve so far?

Some of these questions are explained very well in the video above and hope you spare some time to watch it.

Many people have given different opinions about life and here are some of them:

You beautifully portrayed life in few sentences..
    Great job! :)
I deeply feel that life is what we make it not what others make for us!
challenges are a part so we have to deal with it,even milestones can be enjoyed if we want :)

    • Fayaz Pasha says:

Thank you and very true that we are more responsible for our lives and not others. We have a tendency to blame the Society, parents, relatives, friends etc. for our failures or roadblocks in life.

  7. The Bard says that the world is a stage and we’re all actors. We don different hats when we cross different milestones. We may have many of the skies falling around us, but we have to live amidst the mess. Only when we feel that our journey is short, we begin to live. We need to be stoic to sail through the rough sea of life.

    • Fayaz Pasha says:

True Easwarji. Even Shakespeare too had said similar lines that Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
