Marriage Planning is a mental process to achieve some predetermined goals based on facts rather than guesses. Some of the areas that require planning are : Life Goals, Personality, Academic/Religious Qualifications, Essential Skills, Hobbies and Interests, Well-Being and Social Interests.

A lot of planning is done for a ‘one day trip’ or a business tour for a few days in order to make it most convenient, enjoyable, and to avoid any hardships etc.

Here’s an example of a checklist:  (What to pack on a trip of any length)

  1. Dressy jacket
  2. 2-4 shirts/blouses/tops Dressy jacket
  3. 2 pairs trousers/skirts (shorts?)
  4. 3+ pairs socks
  5. 3+ pairs undergarments
  6. long (lightweight) underwear
  7. swimsuit
  8. dark (cardigan) sweater
  9. rainwear (umbrella?)
  10. parka, coat, or equivalent
  11. long T-shirt or sarong (nightclothes?)
  12. necktie, scarf, shawl, hair band, bandanna
  13. gloves / mittens
  14. sun hat / knitted cap, hat clip
  15. 1 pair dressy shoes (laces?)
  16. 1 pair walking shoes/boots (laces?)
  17. flip-flops or sandals
  18. belt
  19. travel pack or shoulder bag (& luggage cart?)
  20. daypack (fanny pack? purse?)
  21. lightweight duffel/laundry bag
  22. luggage lock(s) (cable?)
  23. alarm clock/watch (batteries?)
  24. flashlight, head strap, extra batteries (bulbs?)
  25. knife, screwdrivers, pliers, scissors
  26. spoon (fork? chopsticks? spork?),
    (coffee tin lid) plate or bowl
  27. compass
  28. whistle
  29. door lock
  30. safety pins, cord, fasteners
  31. sewing kit, including large needle to accommodate dental floss
  32. (Ziploc®) plastic bags, garbage bags
  33. repair tape (packing tape? glue?)
  34. toothbrush, cap, tooth cleaner, floss
  35. razor, blades, shaving oil/cream
  36. comb and/or hairbrush
  37. shampoo, bar soap & container
  38. deodorant
  39. nail clippers
  40. [unbreakable] mirror
  41. viscose towel (washcloth?)
  42. inflatable travel pillow
  43. earplugs (sleep mask?)
  44. sleep sack (sleeping bag? bivouac sack? blanket? tent?)
  45. universal (flat) sink stopper
  46. detergent, spot remover
  47. (surgical latex braid) clothesline (carabineer?)
  48. inflatable hangers [to dry clothes]
  49. toilet paper, water squirt bottle, antibacterial wipes
  50. (chemical or mechanical) water purifier
  51. analgesic of choice
  52. diarrhea treatment of choice
  53. infection treatment of choice
  54. malaria tablets
  55. insect repellent, mosquito net
  56. sunscreen, lip balm
  57. tweezers
  58. bandages (other first aid?)
  59. menstrual, contraceptive, and/or prophylactic supplies

Marriage is a lifelong journey that needs to be well planned regarding various facets of marital life.
